2011: The Best, The Worst, and The Things You Wish You Could Forget (Movie Edition)

Best Movie of 2011

No doubt about it, this year wasn't great for movies and even the Oscar nominees are pretty meh. But if I had to watch one film again, I would choose Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Usually a sequel, even the long-awaited HP finale, wouldn't make my number one spot, but for 2011? The competition isn't exactly strong.

Worst Movie of 2011

Unlike 'Best Movie', this category has SO MANY CHOICES. Between the most sequels Hollywood has ever given us in a single calendar year, truly crappy 'original' plot lines, and the cartoons, I had to think long and hard to choose a winner. But nothing, nothing, will ever compare to the incredible, visceral horror I felt upon hearing the phrase The Smurfs: In 3-D.

Movie I Wish I Could Forget

Twilight, Breaking Dawn, Part 1. Not because it was bad- the other movies of the series were bad. No, this one was... it mad me feel... I think I cried. No, I definitely cried. Sincere tears. During a Twilight movie. And that is a moment anyone would want to forget.

Too funny. I didn't see The Smurfs but saw the other two. I was weepy at both.

Let me guess- death of Snape? Or the flashback montage immediately following? I honestly don't remember what part of 'Breaking Dawn' I cried at.
